YUM !!!! English Toffee
Nothing beats my Mom's English Toffee !!!!!
Every Year she makes a HUGE batch of English Toffee and we munch on it all week long !!!!
( Or Until we get sick of it )
Last Year I decided to try it myself. It came out sooooo gooood !!!!!
Because it was such a HIT !!!!! I had request this year to make it again !!!!!
NO JOKE !!!! People from Lee's work were asking when I was going to make it again!!!!
This morning I decided to make a BIG batch of English Toffee and give it away as Gifts.
Here is the recipe if anyone wants to try:
ENGLISH TOFFEE
One Batch
13X9 Pan
2 sticks of Butter ( Salted, Sweet Cream )
1 Cup Sugar
1 Tablespoon Dark Karo
1 Tablespoon Water
1 1/2 Cups Fine chop nuts ( I mix half Pecans and Walnuts)
1 8oz. Hershey Bar
Grease pan, sprinkle 1/2 of chopped nuts in pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of chopped Hershey bar in pan. Cook Butter, Sugar, Karo, and Water to Hard Crack ( 302'F), stirring constantly. Pour or drizzle over nuts and chocolate evenly. Put remaining chocolate on then nuts, pat down. Cool in Fridge for 1 hr.
